What we do and what we refuse to do
Being specific about this is better for everyone: for you, because you know what you will find; for us, because these limits are the reason the project can exist at all.
What this site does
- Documents how to uninstall or disable preinstalled apps on a TV you own, through the ADB debugging interface the manufacturer itself exposes and documents.
- Catalogues, model by model, which apps can be removed, what stops working, and how risky it is.
- Publishes the command to put every app back. An entry with no verified way back does not get published.
- Links to third-party tools at their official address.
What this site will never do
- Host or distribute firmware, system images or application files.
- Explain how to gain privileged access to a device, unlock a bootloader, or get around verified boot.
- Explain how to get around content protection or access control of any kind.
- Offer a paid service that performs any modification on your device for you.
- Sell a tool that automates anything on this list.
- Promise a result, guarantee compatibility, or assure you that anything will be reversible on your particular unit.
Why this is lawful
Everything documented here is done by the owner, on their own device, using an interface the manufacturer publishes and documents. There is no unauthorised access to anyone else system.
Under Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC, and Articles 100.5 and 100.6 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act, acts needed to achieve interoperability between independently created programs are permitted. Article 8 of that Directive makes contract terms to the contrary void.
We only document per-user removals. The system image is never modified, and the app comes back from the copy already on the device.
Warranty and risk
This is information, not a service. You act on your own device and on your own judgement. Enabling the debugging interface or removing preinstalled apps may affect the manufacturer support terms. We do not promise any result and cannot answer for what happens on your particular unit.
